New Courses – More, More, & More Geek-ing!!!!

Ok, A lot has changed over the past few weeks, two of my courses from my previous schedule went dead … why because I figured I would just do them later … :(

I didn’t do the Scientific Computation Computational Algebra course or the Finite Element Methods course .. will have to finish the Finite Element Methods course next fall, and take the SCCA exam and complete the assignments by January which sounded a lot better than slaving for it now, and doing it bad ..

So right now I have 3 new additions to the two other older courses, which seems a lot more doable eh .. :D .. no seriously speaking, one of them shouldn’t pose too much trouble since it seems quite easy given my programming skills .. ;)

Here’s the all important list:

Applied Programming & Computing Science:

Assignment I: Implementing Reverse Polish Notation Using A Stack [Due: Tuesday, November 7, 2006] [Post more about this later]

Network Programming With Java:

Assignment I: Implementing Client/Server Architecture Using Sockets [Due: Friday, November 10, 2006]

Distributed Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Agents:

Assignment I: Introduction To JADE [Due: Sunday, November 12, 2006]

The other two courses from before, Numerical Treatment of Differential Equations and Mathematical Modeling, Analysis & Simulation still need me to complete quite a bit of work unfortunately .. :(

I really need to finish up on the above two courses by the end of this week, otherwise I am going to get into a backlog .. and that would be disaster ..

I will post more about the Reverse Polish Notation Assignment in a bit once I am finished with it, still needs some work, kind of breaks sometimes with certain type of infix notation expressions .. :(

Scientific Computation Computational Algebra Exam!!!!

I have my first exam of the semester this coming Wednesday … and boy am I worried about it ..

It’s kind of a small course, the first part of a bigger course and it is combined with another course making it a full course for the students in my program.

Scientific Computation Computational Algebra … weird title I always thought .. almost kinda doesn’t make sense .. but who am I to decide .. :(

The exam is on Wednesday [October 18th] and I haven’t even started preparing for it .. its going to be a miracle if I can pull off a good grade on it .. but the problem is I have to pull off good grades on all my courses this semester, or at least thats what I want to do anyway …

The course has three assignments as well which I am yet to submit .. oh crap .. I have so much work, its not even funny ..

Maybe I should get back to work now, and finish up and then try start preapring for the exam .. wish me luck if you read this .. I am definitely going to need some I have a feeling .. :(

MMAS – I So Don’t Feel Like Working …

I wanted to get these two assignments for the Mathematical Models, Analysis & Simulation course this weekend, and plus some other work for the Fintite Element Methods project ..  but here’s the situation I just don’t feel like working at all .. :(

I am all restless for some reason, I think I want to do something, but I don’t know what or how to find out … So now I am just doing this and that, note not being unproductive in the least, but just not doing what I wanted to complete this weekend.

I did do some good work on a new PHP/MySQL project that I had an idea about, so the weekend hasn’t been a complete waste … :)

But I do need to get the MMAS assignments done before Monday morning, I wanted to submit those two, and then soon after submit the other two … urgh urgh .. I hate being in this state of restlessness where something is tearing me apart from inside but I cannot do anything about it .. it throws me off completely with regard to everything else in life ..

Where Do I Fit In Sleeping & Eating!!!

So after two days of emailing, meeting with professors and talking to my coordinator I kind of have a fair idea of the amount of work that is due in the next 3 weeks … and boy it does not look or sound good to me … :(

Let’s see, this is what I’ve got (in no particular order) :

Finite Element Methods:

  • Project: Part A & B due on October 20, 2006
  • Examination: October 21, 2006

Scientific Computation Computational Algebra:

  • Assignments: 1, 2, & 3 due before October 18, 2006
  • Examination: October 18, 2006

Mathematical Models, Analysis & Simulation:

  • Assignments: 1, 2, 3, & 4 due before October 23, 2006

Numerical Treatment of Differential Equations:

  • Yet to find out!!!!!!!! :(

So that practically leaves me barely any time to breathe, leave alone do anything else in the next three weeks .. :’(

And then people wonder why I say, I probably won’t make it past 30 or 35 at best … and on top of that all, I’ve got to work to make a living … Talk about fun university/student life … well let’s see you tell me something along those lines face-to-face :@

As a side note, I seem to have completely forgotten how hard Computational Differential Equations, but yesterday it all came screaming back to me … biting me enough in the a** for one day, I wonder how much of a back I am going to have left by the end of October …

Umm … Welcome Post I guess!!!

So what’s this all about, you must be wondering … well nothing really important I can assure you.

I just felt like blogging about my geekish side of life as a Master’s student at The Royal Institute of Technology , Stockholm. What I am studying, well this is a bit more secretive, dunno if I should venture it out … alright, I am just yanking your leg. I am student in Numerical Analysis department, working, or more appropriately beginning to work ;) , towards my Master’s in Scientific Computing.

I intend on posting about school, my courses, and everything in between, above and beyond it here … so drop in often, and send a few nice remarks my way when you see I am all in the dumps due to my studies .. :D

Until then … well I will go get some actual work done, and you carry on with whatever you were doing before you started reading this drivel .. :)
